Wearing: New York & Co. Halter, Avon Reversible Skirt, Nine West Clutch, DOLCE by Mojo Moxy Wedges
This past weekend I had the opportunity to a get bit of R&R (I had to squeeze some partying in as well) while in Conneticut. Even though I was about 2 hours away from NY, the air just seemed so different. It smelled so earthy and fresh. I spent time with family, tasted my first peach martini and enjoyed a jazz fest. Here are a few photos that summed up my weekend.

My traveling sneakers. The first time I've ever owned a pair. Being that they're leopard, I couldn't resist.

One of the things I've always loved about the summer are the endless pinics. Whether invited or crashed, it's such a fun and practical way to get together with friends and make new ones while getting your eat on. Here are a few essentials that will help you get through your next event without breaking the budget either.

A girl after my own heart. Short, spikey hair and neon nails are such a fun, feisty and flirty look.
By the way, please check out other neon posts here and here and let me know how you feel about the trend.

I'm always having fun with my manicures. Once I learned how to do my own manicure, I purchased alot of colors and glitter. Some time I randomly create designs on a whim. This design I thought of while watching The Devil Wears Prada. I used Sally Hansen "Sunkissed Polish". I achieved the glitter nail by applying a base coat and coating my finger with nail glitter. I allowed it to dry. Then I applied a top coat to seal the glitter.

These are just a few random purchases I made last week. I honestly didn't need any of them (well except this is a must for every beauty-nista), but I'm glad I made the purchases. I'd love to hear some of your random purchases.

When I finally learned how to do my own manicure, I began to get a little more creative with colors and designs. I've been pretty obsessed with glitter nail strips. I was on the hunt for a nail polish that reflected just as well. I found this glitter nail polish that goes on like gem stones. I swiped the glitter polish on an angle. Then dapped the brush to give the gemstones a full effect alongside the blue metallic polish. I wore this look while hitting up my cousin's birthday dinner/party festivities this past weekend.

Over the years, I've had numerous hairstyles. Everything from a curly afro, blonde cropped cut and a lace front wig. When I became tired of all of those options, I went for a relaxed, pixie cut with blonde highlights (my current look). I realized short cuts suit me best, however, I like to admire other types of hairstyles on women. When I'm feeling a bit feisty, I might go back to wearing long hair. Here are a few hairstyles that I find adorable and could be of inspiration to you.

Nothing lifts up a mood better than a little sparkle on your nails. With New Year's Eve around the corner, that's the best time to go all out with sequins, glitter and glitz. You can save money by opting to do your manicure yourself. I'm rocking this manicure for NYE. Here are a few nail polishes Fashionistaz need in their beauty bar.
FYI: When removing glitter polish, soak cotton balls in nail polish remover and place on each nail. Wrap each nail in aluminum foil and let is sit for about 5 minutes. Then press down and pull the foil and cotton off your nails. Your nails will be free from glitter.

The holiday shopping season has finally approached us. Even though, I've been seeing Christmas advertisements since November 1st. With all the Black Friday craziness, I didn't bother camping out or heading out at the crack of dawn to get in on the deals. However, I did head out Sunday as well as searched online for a few shimmery beauty goodies for under $10. These are great stocking stuffers or you could pick up a few for yourself.

I had compiled a list of a few things I needed to add to my closet. With all the craziness frm Versace x H&M, I figured I wouldn't get anything. I woke a 5am last Saturday and did what any Fashionista would do- head to the city and try to pick up a few pieces. I went to a smaller store so it wasn't as hectic and it was very organized. Plus a new mani and fuschia lipstick didn't hurt either.
