Kelis and Solange kinda remind of each other. In terms of their fashion sense...they wear what they want and how they want to. They're wearing their natural hair. In terms of their music, very eclectic and in ways, kinda hard to categorize. They each cover TRACE and Fashizblack magazines, respectively.
Kelis is known for rocking non-trendylooks. She just does what she wants. Just as much as she changes her style, she changes her hair too. She was rocking the red hair for awhile, now she's back to blonde. She was spotted with the new hair while partying in Ibiza, Spain.
Amber Rose was spotted leaving a hotel in New York looking very colorful. One thing about her she doesn't care what she rocks. As long as it's tight and showing off the bawdy.
Kelis was in London rocking a nautical inspired dress and pink strappy sandals. Very classy look for her.
I wonder what a shopping spree with the two of them together would be like...
ELLE magazine compiled their list for the top Women In Music in 2010. They range in genre of music, but what they artists do have in common is their sense of confidence and just not giving a f*ck what people's perceptions of them are. #BadAzzChicks. Check out as each starlet talk about their style.
Alicia Keys on her style: “My look isn’t plotted out, like, I’m going to have red hair because it’s a new record. It has to be genuine, not a branding concept.”
Kelis has never been shy about her music or fashion. In this video "4 of July, (Fireworks)" she's all flashiness. She has scenes in the desert and in the sea and always remains glamorous throughout the video. You can't even categorize her style. I would love to go shopping with her. This is her second single off of her album Flesh Tone which has been release in the U.K. It hits U.S. stores July 6.
Kelis was spotted at ELLE magazine's inaugural event celebrating "Women In Music" last night in New York City. Sources say she performed material from her latest album Flesh Tone including her second single "4th of July (Fireworks)". Kelis is also down with #teamredhead. She's rocking curly red locks. How could we not miss the cut-out polka-dot Versace boots to match her polka-dot and floral dress.
Kelis is London promoting her latest single "Acapella". As usual she's doing her own thing in the fashion department rocking two different styles, but VERY Kelis. Lately, there have been many comparisons to her against Lady Gaga, Rihanna. I feel like Kelis is the original I don't give a f*ck girl of fashion, hair and music during these recent times in R&B/Hip-Hop. What do you think? Are Rihanna and Lady Gaga jacking Kelis' style, is style always up for grabs or is it just a sincere form of flattery? Lemme know...
This is the album cover for Kelis' fifth album, Flesh Tone. This cover was shot by Rankin. She continues to reinvent herself by looking futuristically fly. This is her first album in four years and her dance single "Acapella" which is also the first single is #1.
Her album hits stores May 17 in the UK and July 6 in the US.
In case you missed it, Kelis performed for latest single "Acapella" for the first time on t.v. She hit up the Jimmy Kimmel show and had Will.I.Am along for for the performance.
She does sound good. This song is growing on me. Are you feeling this song?
