Structured Clutches

Nov02

There's nothing like a truly amazing piece of arm candy.  Structured clutches are a great accessory.  They are versatile and can be worn during the day with jeans and a blazer.  At night, it would look stunning with a sequin dress.  These House of Harlow clutches are from the Spring 2012 collection.

Currently Lusting: Dainty Juicy Couture Jewels

Oct07

(For more info on each piece, click on item)

I find myself buying accessories several times put of the month.  I never discriminate where I make the purchases.  I've found great pieces from dollar stores, street vendors and UK brands.  As much as I love to rock big gold hoops or ornate earrings, sometimes a little dainty Juicy Couture piece goes a long way.

P.S. To go with the dainty theme, this perfume is light and airy.  It has become one of my faves!

I'd love to hear about your accessory/jewelry style.

Kim Kardashian in Belle Noel Honey Hexagon Hair Comb

I love when I come across accessories that are budget friendly.  A simple tank, skinny jeans, stilettos can instantly look sexy with the the perfect earrings or necklace- depending upon which piece you want to stand out.  Kim Kardashian looked out for the fashionistaz on a budget with her collection Belle Noel.  It includes earrings, bracelets, rings, necklaces and hair pieces.

Arm Candy

Jun15

I rarely leave the house without a stack of bracelets.  It can liven up the simplest jeans and a tee and give a little black dress such a vicious appeal.  My current fave are the cuff and wrap studded bracelets.  The key to wearing these bracelets is less is more.  I don't stack them up on one arm.  One piece is the perfect way to show off the arm candy.

How To: Turn A Bracelet Into Earrings

Jun07

I bought this bracelet about 2 years ago.  I love it, but the closure would always come loose.  I've risked losing it on several occassions.  While I didn't want the next time for it to be out of my possession forever, I thought of another way to make use of it and guarantee it wouldn't get lost.  I turned it into earrings.  Here's what I did:

I unclipped each of the outside links

Each loose link is ready for the closures to be added

The hook is added

I'm tightening up the hook and any loose links

Finished and ready to hit the town!

 Any thoughts?

As much as I'd like to convince myself I'm going to take a shopping break (who am I kidding), I always come across an item(s) that just draws me in (as seen here and here).  Shopping is somewhat my therapy to ignore all the craziness in life.  It was only right when I came across these House of Harlow 1960 sunnies, I was convinced I needed another pair.  The chain design has such a vintage-y feel.  Don't you just love from the face-to-face view, the tassels double as earrings?

Knuckle Up

Feb23

As long as I could remember I have been in LOVE with two-finger rings.  It's just something about them that can make an entire look fly.  I remember being a little kid and some of my favorite rappers wearing them.  Of course being too young and unable to afford.  I said I would make it my mission in life to get one or several.  Here's my collection.

Conversation Piece

Nov18

Ever see a woman wearing a necklace and you just can't help but stare at it?  I recently saw a woman with such an intricately designed necklace I stared at it for so long she probably thought I was crazy.  Until I finally approached her and asked where she purchased it.  To my surprise, she had a friend that designed the onyx, metal and chain necklace for her.  It  made me think about how much I really need a statement necklace to my collection.  It will jazz up a jeans and t-shirt look.  When paired with a simple dress, it will look ultra glam.

Clockwise:

Juicy Couture Layered Velvet Torsade Necklace$148

Metal Mesh Necklace$29

Fringe Chain and Stone Bib Necklace$34

Tribal Diamond Necklace$10.80

Statement Arrow Necklace$100 $50

Michael Kors Camouflage Bags

Aug02

Camflouge bags is a trend that does a 360.  A few seasons ago Louis Vuitton had celebs like Rihanna and Monica carry these bags.  Now Michael Kors is back with the camo look for a bit less.  The bags range in prices from $198-$400.  Kors stepped it up by carrying flats and accessories as well.

Mary J. Blige is working these camouflage pants.
