Spring 2013 Preview: Rebecca Taylor

Jan28

The temperatures in New York have been frigid.  We haven't experienced weather like this in a long time.  Naturally, thoughts of fun, sun, beaches and pina coladas have kept me going.  So, when I received a pre-view of the Rebecca Taylor Spring 2013 collection, I just had to share.

Accessories Report: Earcuffs and Ratchet Earrings

Jan26

Have you ever come across an accessory you just had to have?  I'm always on the hunt for a statement piece.  I wasn't really sure exactly what I was looking for, but was hoping to find something that would stand out.  I found an ear cuff.  I thought it made a sexy statement and definitely a conversation starter.

Good, Bad or Ugly: Quilted Peplum Sweatsuit

Jan14

Every so often I come across a piece and on the fence of if I love it or hate it.  I came across the top first then realized it had matching pants.  While I never thought of the idea of dressing up a sweatsuit, this may be the direction we'll see peplum going.  This entire look I could see Rihanna or even Rita Ora puling off.  Would you wear it?

Glitzy Jewels

Dec07

These jewels from the Lulu Frost for J.Crew collaboration are amazingly beautiful.  I love the idea of dressing down glitzy jewelry with a t-shirt or sweater.  For a glam look, pair these earring with a LBD for a sexy night out on the town.  Which look do you prefer, dressing glitzy jewels up or down?

You can see more pieces from the collaboration here and here.

Suited Up

Dec03

This time of the year gives us the excuse to wear our shiniest pieces and tons of red.  An even riskier move is to rock them together during the day.  I've always been a fan of dresses and skirts when hitting the town (like I wore here), but something about a suit really speaks volumes.  In celebration of the holidays, this peplum suit jacket and pants paired with crystal bow pumps are the perfect way to show your holiday spirit and creative style.

Stylish Gift Ideas Under $100

Nov23

Are you just as excited as I am that the holidays are here?!  This year Black Friday became a monthly event and I'm not complaining.  I decided to do online shoppping again as opposed to hitting up the stores.  The only exception was to head out for cupcakes.  To help out my Fashionistaz, in between eating leftover Thanksgiving dinner and hitting the place order button online, I decided to compile a list of stylish pieces for the stylista in your life.  I love this idea of combining music and fashion together.

Style Dilemma: What to Wear While Strolling Soho

Aug06

Soho has always been one of my favorite parts of the city to hang out.  There's quaint little coffee shops, one of a kind boutiques and tons of fashionable inspiration strolling the streets.  While I'd love to rock my favorite pumps while taking in the sites, it's just not practical.  Here's a look that's equal parts rebel, girly and comfortable for enjoying the neighborhood.

Are you feeling these Guiseppe Zanotti sneakers below?  If so, you can find them here and here.

Last Night in NYC...

Aug03

One of the things I love about living in New York is that there's never a dull moment.  I get a lot of my fashion inspiration from just people watching.  Something will catch my eye that I just have to try.  Refinery29 posted this pic on their Twitter feed.  This stylista is rocking the Prada flame sandals and clutch.  Pretty daring, but kinda hot.

Weekend Accessories

Jul09

Over the weekend, my homegirl and I went club hopping.  I haven't done that in a couple of years.  At the end of the nignt I was exhausted.  I wasn't in the mood to rock brignts, so I went with an LBD.  To make my dress stand out, I went with a colorblock clutch, statement earrings and a conversation starter cuff.

Here's a similar look below:

Clutch: ALDO Virga Clutch- $66.28 $33.14

Earrings: Deco Chandelier Earrings- $30

Cuff: Cc Skye Chevron Cuff- $137
