When word circulated through the internet of Michael Jackson passing, I prayed that it was a hoax. Even CNN was last to confirm the news which gave me an once of hope. Unfortunately, our worst fears became a reality and the music Icon and Legend was confirmed dead.
Michael was that guy that guys wanted to be-cool and dapper, and the guy girls had crushes on. He had such crossover appeal. People in various countries who didn't speak a word of English knew his songs verbatim. Michael's choreography was effortless and swift- video's such as "Smooth Criminal" and "Thriller" proved it such. His signature Moon Walk was captivating. His videos (mini movies) were events you could not miss.
Fashionably speaking, Michael was an innovator in many aspects. There was no other that could pull off the shiny glittery glove, white glittery socks, loafers, military inspired attire and the coolest red jacket around.
Music and pop culture is forever changed.
We will always love and remember the Icon, Legend and King of Pop- Michael Jackson. Rest In Peace.
