Life is funny. Not in an amusing sense, but in an ironic sense. I was thinking back the other day the many "friends" I've made over my 20-something years. I thought of how, when and where I met them. Boy did I have a good laugh...LOL. Cause honey, I've had the weirdest experiences when it came to meeting people. Then I thought about why some of them remained in my life, while others disappeared. I've delt with issues of backstabbing, gossip, jealousy, immaturity. The list can go on and on. I've accepted that I'm not perfect either and tried to reconcile some of the friendships, but wait... At what point is someone considered a friend or an aquaintance? Does it really matter how long you've known someone for the friendship to be over and call it a loss or should longevity be taken into account? I always say Friendship and Love are the two most loosely used words in the English language. At my age, I've yet to get solid answers to these questions. I guess I have alot to learn. Life is funny. People can be "funny." I live, laugh and love...

This is Kelis' latest video for the electro dance single "Acapella" off of her upcoming album Flesh Tone. She continues to think outside the box and goes for a more tribal theme and slick visuals. This video was directed by London based Dazed magazine co-founder Rankin. It's good to see she still doesn't conform to popular standards when it comes to her style, music and video direction.
She has her adorable son at the end of the video. Her post baby body is fab!

Kelis is making her rounds promoting songs from her upcoming album Flesh Tone. She performed the singles "22 Century" and "4 of July" during the Winter Music Conference in Miami. Her new music is more electro-pop. I've always been a Kelis stan. She has such a unique and distinctive voice. Glad to see she's back doing her thing.
Talk about a mean shoe game. It should be ridiculous to have a show this fly. I'm now accepting applications to #sponsor my shoe habit...Haha. You can get your own red bottoms here
