Scary Desserts

Oct31

As much as I love fashion, I REALLY love food.  I haven't covered much of it on my blog as of yet.  I'm working on incorporating it.  Just in time for Halloween, I came across a few desserts that look pretty scary and just as appetizing.

Fun fact: cupcakes are my favorite dessert.  What's your favorite dessert?

Embellished Shoulders

Oct28

Every so oftern I like to wear a piece that completely stands out on its own.  Whether its an intricately detailed dress or army green and gold glitter booties, it's the first thing people will notice.  I wore this top to a meeting on Tuesday.  The embellished shoulders showed off to my creative side.  I played down the rest of my look, but piled on jeweled bracelets with a gold cuff.

You can find a similar top to the one that I wore here

What do you think of my look?

Juicy Couture x Deborah Lippman

Oct25

I'm ahead of the game.  I usually reserve wearing anything sparkly for the holiday season (like when I wore this outfit).  Recently, I'm all about the shimmer.  I'm rocking this nail design again.  I was just as excited to hear that Juicy Couture is teaming up with Deobrah Lippman to create a nail polish collection.  Think metallics and shimmer any day any time.  Heck yeah!  So who's in?

You can find out more about the collection here.

Houndstooth for Fall

Oct21

This fall it seems to be all about color blocking and plaid, but you can never go wrong with basic black and white.   Houndstooth seems to be popping up all over.  The Kardashian sisters have very distinct styles, but each seems to favor the pattern.

I found a few budget-friendly pieces you can pick up:

Live a Little Houndstooth Cape - $88

Jessica Simpson Houndstooth Belted Dress - $138

Nine West Lock n Load Large Frame Satchel - $89

Sexy Vamp Nails

Oct20

I haven't celebrated Halloween since grade school.  This year I've felt a bit inspired to partake into the festivities.  While I'm still on the fence about dressing up.  If I do, this wacky celeb would be a good choice lolll.  In the meantime, I've transformed my manicure to be a bit dark, sexy and fun!

FYI: this top coat was great at sealing the manicure being that it's so detailed

Are you dressing up for Halloween?

Closeted Trends

Vince Camuto Tie Front  Studded Cuff Blouse

Have you ever seen an item and knew right away you just had to have it?  That's how I felt about these pieces that are in my closet.

Fashion tip: No need to get an entirely new fall wardrobe.  By adding a few new additions, you can create several new looks and save dough.  #fashionistazonabudgetapproved

Unconventional Leopard

Oct14

My number one tip when rocking a little black dress is: always let the shoes shine.  These leopard and red platform shoes are on my wishlist (shoe whores unite).  This look is date or girls night out ready.  Any thoughts?

Jeweled Dresses

Oct13

I'm already planning my holiday wardrobe.  Call me crazy, but I pretty much have an idea of what I want to rock then next time I hit up a party.  While I'm not going to neglect any sequins (if it sparkles, best believe I am in there like swimwear).  I like the idea of wearing a jeweled dress.  Whether it's the neckline or the back of this stunning dress that stands out, lots of jewels and minimal accessories are what will be on my wishlist.

Last Day of Summer

Oct11

wearing: Old Navy Dress & Trench, MICHAEL Michael Kors Belt & Bag, MIA Gladiator Wedges (also seen here)

Well, technically, summer has been over.  The last couple of days temps have proven otherwise.  It was 80 degrees yesterday and my wardrobe was in confusion.  I had no clue what to wear yesterday, but I always swear after September I never take my jacket off.  The combination of the sundress paired with tough accessories made it fall appropriate, but kept me cool in the unpredictable weather.

Currently Lusting: Dainty Juicy Couture Jewels

Oct07

(For more info on each piece, click on item)

I find myself buying accessories several times put of the month.  I never discriminate where I make the purchases.  I've found great pieces from dollar stores, street vendors and UK brands.  As much as I love to rock big gold hoops or ornate earrings, sometimes a little dainty Juicy Couture piece goes a long way.

P.S. To go with the dainty theme, this perfume is light and airy.  It has become one of my faves!

I'd love to hear about your accessory/jewelry style.
