I love a coat that has one detail that makes it standout. A simple jeans and sweater paired with boots and a (faux) fur trimmed coat will up the flyness factor. Gabrielle Union's coat was inspiration for this find for fashionistaz on a budget.
This bright red coat makes the look more festive.

The holiday shopping season has finally approached us. Even though, I've been seeing Christmas advertisements since November 1st. With all the Black Friday craziness, I didn't bother camping out or heading out at the crack of dawn to get in on the deals. However, I did head out Sunday as well as searched online for a few shimmery beauty goodies for under $10. These are great stocking stuffers or you could pick up a few for yourself.
Deets on Goodies:
Conair Sophisticates Jaw Clips Hair Accessories - $6.49

I had compiled a list of a few things I needed to add to my closet. With all the craziness frm Versace x H&M, I figured I wouldn't get anything. I woke a 5am last Saturday and did what any Fashionista would do- head to the city and try to pick up a few pieces. I went to a smaller store so it wasn't as hectic and it was very organized. Plus a new mani and fuschia lipstick didn't hurt either.

There were many looks at last nights 2011 American Music Awards from the men. Some were classic while others were wtf-worthy. By far, this look from Pitbull was my fave- all black paired with this red blazer. You can never be too cool rocking sunglasses indoors too. Here's a similar look I pulled together:
Thomas Pink Comfort Stretch Plain Shirt - Button Cuff - $130
EMPORIO ARMANI Blazer - $340 $275
Carrera brown tortoise 'Panamerika' modified aviator sunglasses - $112
Regular Fit 'James Brown' Dress Pant by BOSS Black - $175

So tomorrow is a national holiday for fashionistaz on a budget. The Versace x H&M collection hits stores. People are already camped out by a couple of locations. That's dedication. I'm going to attempt to make my way in the am to get in on the action. I hope waking up at the crack of dawn and having my latte will work wonders. Plus my bday passed so it would be a dope present to myself. Jennifer Hudson looks pretty fly in one of the designs. Will you be there tomorrow? or better yet are you there now?

On the East Coast, the temps have been in the 60s which makes it pretty hard to remember that we are in the winter season. While I refuse to change my coat (I'm currently rocking this style), I do lighten up on the layers. I believe you don't have to purchase an entire new wardrobe. A few additions can spice up the closet. Here is how I winterized mine:

{Jeweled plaid}
{Sequin beret}

{Trying on leather and lace gloves}

{Chevron stripe faux-fur jacket}

Occasionally, I enjoy playing around with silhouettes and patterns in one outfit. The loepard shoe and chevron striped bag somehow come together to show the outfits originality without looking like a H.A.M. Monday's are usually slumpy, but you won't look it in this outfit. With todays temps in the 60s, a cream colored pant fit perfectly in this combo. Would you rock this look?

The best of both worlds. Leopard and leather. This is such a tough and sexy combination. At $1,250, this 3.1 Phillip Lim biker jacket will leave you looking cute, but VERY MUCH broke. That's not a good look for fashionistaz.
A great option is this Asos leopard and leather jacket. The price in comparison will leave you speechless.

I wouldn't clasify myself as a jeans girl. Occassionally, when I'm running errands, I'll throw on a pair of boyfriend jeans with flats. I've been doing some revamping in my closet and came across these pink pumps. While heading out to lunch on Saturday, I wanted a casual, but fly look. I toned down the rest of the outfit and let the pink shoes stand out.

I love when I find a shoe that I absolutely love, but when I check out the price tag I'm utterly disappointed. I came across these Valentino flats and the price just wasn't right for this fashionista on a budget.
So you know I'm always on the hunt to find a version that's just as fly but you'll still have enough to get your retail therapy on. These Bad Alice flats are the perfect brand to give a similar look. These would look great with skinnies or a dress. On a low-key night on the town, I'd rock these as well.
