There are 3 words to describe 2011: hectic, exciting and entertaining. While blogging each day, I've been persuing my degree in fashion as well. I looked forward into 2012 to finishing up and obtaining my degree and bringing you more dope content on the blog. I thank you all for all the support and comments. It definitely keeps me going. Here are just a few things that made my blogging worthwhile in 2011.
I wish all of you and yours a safe and healthy new year! xo

Nothing lifts up a mood better than a little sparkle on your nails. With New Year's Eve around the corner, that's the best time to go all out with sequins, glitter and glitz. You can save money by opting to do your manicure yourself. I'm rocking this manicure for NYE. Here are a few nail polishes Fashionistaz need in their beauty bar.
FYI: When removing glitter polish, soak cotton balls in nail polish remover and place on each nail. Wrap each nail in aluminum foil and let is sit for about 5 minutes. Then press down and pull the foil and cotton off your nails. Your nails will be free from glitter.

As Christmas gets closer ( 5 days away), I've become increasingly in the holiday spirit. I was in the city yesterday for my first spa appointment (which was amazing) as well as taking in the sights. I came across a few pretty and interestingly funny displays. I also picked up a few holiday inspired things that made me smile and anxiously awaiting the 25th.

The weather in New York has become increasingly colder. My motto is just because the weather is horrible doesn't mean we need to look a hot mess. I stuck with the basics of a wool military coat and lace-up flat boots. I added a bit of sequins, leopard and a coral lip to pull it together. I was heading to Target and I'm proud to say I stuck to my list and spent less than $20. I always overspend there.

Black and gold leather Cubannie Link earrings
I've been through several phases with color obsessions. I always go back to rocking black. I've hardly worn any seasonal appropriate colors of red and green, but when wearing black, I've added gold to give it a luxe feel.

I've been pretty fond of tulip skirts for sometime. The pleated detailing is eye catching. I'd be perfect to wear out on the town. Rihanna and Kerry Washington's short lengths and colors are great for the warmer months. This longer version and color are perfect for the witnter months.
In this case, by keeping the outfit simple with a silk cami, you can accessorize with standout pieces (like these earrings). You'll create an outfit that is uniquely yours.
