Merona Coat, H&M Dress & Necklace, Forever21 Biker Boots, Michael Kors Tote & Sunnies, Street Vendor Stone ring (brought here)
Sunday's are generally the laziest day of the week for me. I'm usually up late, breakfast in bed, magazine reading and dvd watching are the itinerary. So putting on a dress is never on the agenda. I just felt like such a fun vibe but wanted to toughen it up as well as be comfy with the biker boots. The weather was just too beautiful on Sunday I had to venture out. I woke up a bit early and headed out for breakfast. I wanted to capture a bit of photography and I always say I hardly ever take advantage of the sights in the city. So the bridge and river as my backdrop.

Every so often I'll go through a phase of items and pretty much rock them all the time. Especially when I get a good deal on them. I wanted these biker boots the moment I saw them. The chain detailing is what drew me in. When I hit up the Barney's Warehouse Sale last weekend I scored the Alexander Wang pants with leather detailing. The heart ring (this pic really doesn't do it justice) is amazing. It garners attention. A real conversation starter. I hope you score some great deals over the weekend. Leave me a comment and let me know what you found. Have a great weekend!

As long as I could remember I have been in LOVE with two-finger rings. It's just something about them that can make an entire look fly. I remember being a little kid and some of my favorite rappers wearing them. Of course being too young and unable to afford. I said I would make it my mission in life to get one or several. Here's my collection.

This past weekend's weather was so unpredictable. It went from a balmy 60 degrees to the mid 30s at the drop of a hat. Good or bad weather didn't stop me from hitting the stores for spring picks. I did take a once over in my closet and realized I would love to add more neutrals (hence the Michael Kors belted sweater would be a good start). Just as important as it is to update the closet each season, a more polished & fresh scented decor helps me to relax after a long day of work. I'll chill out and watch my favorite show Criminal Minds.

Yesterday was the first time I went to the Barney's New York Warehouse Sale. After an hour of digging I walked out with a couple of items. I'll show you in a later post. I made a few trips to a couple of other stores and I noticed the tone for spring fashions were alot of feminine, bright and really pretty pieces. I was inspired to find the most girliest things to share with you.

I've always been fascinated by the various hues of orange. While I'm still on my light colored clothing kick, (I wore this to this event recently). It's just something about wearing a coral colored blouse or an orange nail polish that's ultra feminine. I can't wait for the full on warm weather to rock these pieces with white and beige. I guess just have to remained satisfied with the teaser weather now. I mean, really, 60 degrees on Friday?!

There was lots of tulle and silk that hit the runways at Ola Hawatmeh & Chiyuki Asano presentation. Ola Hawatmeh is a St Louis Fashion designer whose collection had lots of tulle. Which was perfect since right now tulle is a staple in my daily wardrobe as what I wore here. While Japanese designer Chiyuki Asano's line combines traditional Japanese craftsmenship with painted graphic art and silk.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of attending the American Express Tweetup in their skybox at Lincoln center. The event was a blogger meet and greet and exchange of Twitter handlers and follow your new tweeps. The highlight was when Peter Davis EIC of Avenue magazine spoke to us about fashion trends and breaking into the fashion industry. Peter's words of advice: Interning is very important and "dress for the job you want."

Also, some random shots I captured yesterday

I had to catch shots of the decor in the Amex Skybox. This displayed flashing photos of the models and runways.

Loved these coffee urns. I love coffee but went with a mimosa instead.
