Last week was sort of a roller coaster type of week. I was ridiculously busy working on a few projects that I barely had time to update the blog. One of my best friends visited from Florida and we got a chance to grab lunch at one of our fave hangouts, chill out at Bryant Park and a chance run in with Dr. Oz. This top (last seen here) was one of the tops that looked okay on a hanger, but better than I expected on me. I hardly do one sleeve tops, but with the lightweight material and bright colors it was perfect for the finally hot, sunny weather we're having.
The name isn't quite as catchy as the LBD. This spring/summer the white dress is the hottest piece we should all have in our closet. Jada Pinkett Smith appeared on Oprah for her Surprise Oprah! A Farewell Spectacular. As always, she brings the flyness factor with her wardrobe. Here's the details on what she wore.
Alexander McQueen Flesh Fish-Bone Platform Sandal (You can find out more info and other styles here)
White dresses and neutral shoes seem to be her go to styles of choice. It compliments her skin tone.
Read on for more on who designed the dress and her other hot looks.
I still haven't separated my winter and summer pieces yet. With the temperature hitting the 80s this week, I want to wear more more spring/summer outfits. Yesterday while looking for my faux snakeskin clutch, I came across items that I forgot that I had. Now I'm extra excited for more hot, sunny days to rock them.
First time I ever came across this photo of these two. Just love how natural they look here. I watched the Billboard awards and the shout out she gave to him upon accepting her Millenium Award was just as fitting as this photo:
I'm going to an event. I'm wearing a LBD, but I want the shoes to be the main attraction. I can't seem to choose which pair I should step out with first.
Which do you think? Please leave your comments or vote in the poll below. I'll post at a later date which pair I wore.
Old Navy Trench, Mossimo Dress, H&M Clutch, Nine West Platforms, Vintage Bracelets
Generally on Friday's I'm dressed down in jeans or leggings. This past Friday I wanted to go with a bit more of a trendy look. These platforms lasted 14 straight hours. The weather was still a bit finicky so I paired tights instead of being able to show off my fly pedi. I went to the movies to see Jumping the Broom. It was great. I laughed histerically and cried ( I can be such a cry baby during movies). After the movie, I headed over to Bryant Park.
Also, there is a Jumping the Broom inspired beauty collection. You can check out more here and here.
Sometime I have those weekends when I do absolutely nothing and so excited about it. Watching Sex and the City DVD's and eating ridiculous amounts of candy. I want to add a few additions to my apartment and came across these pieces online. I'm really loving the disco-ball esque lamp.
