Nine West Aroundtown Mary Jane
I haven't owned a pair of mary janes since grade school. I had searched to find a great pair, but always fell short. I happen to come across these the other day while I was catching up on my weekly magazine reading. These mary janes are perfect for the girly girl or the maverick. What I love most about it are the variety of colors of the snakeskin. I would pair it with a little black dress for a night out on the town or go wild and pair with a printed top and bold accessories.
There's also a matching crossbody bag you can find here.

This dress have become one of my favorites. I've worn it here and here. Yesterday was the first day of classes. I was on my way to class, when suddenly the strap on my sandal broke. Luckily, it happened as I was walked pass the Gap. I rushed in looking for a pair of flats. I was pretty desperate so I couldn't be too choosy, but I wanted to find something that would match nicely with what I was wearing. I went home with these flats and not only did it match perfectly, it was on sale too.

I've noticed in the last couple of months I've taken a bit more risks with my outfit choices. However, there's one look I have yet to try and that is glitz during the day. You know, throwing on a flashy top, shoes or pouchette that are more evening appropriate. While I'm not completely comfortable with going full on glam during the day, these Miu Miu booties (my latest obsession) are a start.
Would you rock a glam look during the day?

A man in a suit can be ridiculously sexy. There's something about a guy whose outfit looks like he put no effort into it, but still sh*ts on the competition.
To make the look fall appropriate, here's a few sweater options to pair with the look:
Off-White LTD Shawl Cardigan
Rag & Bone Cobble-Stripe Cardigan
Banana Republic Cotton Shawl Collar Sweater
BLACK BROWN 1826 Cashmere Striped Zip Sweater

When the weather turned a bit cool, the first thing I did was pull out my boots. These riding boots became a fave. This year, I'm on the hunt for a pair that's a bit more fun and less practical. I've never worn any flashy detailing during the day (a la glitter during the daytime). However, these Miu Miu booties is making me wanna unleash the bad azz in me.

I always say I rarely take advantage of the sights of the city like I should. The weather yesterday was a bit hot and cold. I never understood how evening temperatures can be warmer than the day. My solution was this cropped, suede jacket. I bought it with my first paycheck when I was 19 and was very excited that it still fits! While I usually don't venture out of the house on Sundays, it was a nice touch to have dinner by the water. Here are a few shots by the South Street Seaport.

Kaboom! Guess who stepped in the room!? That's the exact statement your feet will make in glitter dipped heels. One tip: When wearing these type of shoes, keep the rest of your look simple. It will look great with a LBD or skinnies and a cute, feminine top. #IthinkImInLove

I'm surprised at how chilly the temps are today. Last week, I wore a sundress and wedges. Now I have to dig out the sweater capelet and riding boots. A lot of companies have a dress down Friday rule. This look (inspired by J. Crew) would be perfect for any Friday. The preppy look is classic. By adding the yellow cardigan and red satchel, it gives the outfit an unexpected twist.

Color Blocking at J. Crew
When I'm feeling uninspired when pairing outfits together, I'll turn to blogs, magazines and style websites. This time, I looked no further than the runways of New York Fashion Week Spring 2012. I'm loving all the colorblocking, lady-like silouhettes, cut-outs and blue will be the new black. This will give me a jumpstart on on what my looks will consist of for next spring.
What inspires your outfit choices?

This fall I'm all about playing around with lengths and silouhettes. I love how shorts are becoming a staple for day and evening looks. These leather shorts here can be equal parts playful when paired with wedges and a flowy peasant blouse. Also serious when paired with a Peter Pan collared blouse. Longer skirts give off a vicious appeal when paired with a cropped leather jacket.
