I'll admit I've always looked at a striped dress as a piece reserved for daytime only. With an effort to get more bang for your buck, I came up with a way to wear the same dress more nighttime appropriate. By throwing on a tuxedo jacket, strappy heels, sequin clutch and cocktail ring, it still shows off your sexiness without trying too hard.
Daytime
Straw Fedora with Ribbon Bow - $9.50
Tory Burch Wood and Resin Bangles - $145
Aldo Pecor Sandal- $65 $39.98
Night-time
Rag & Bone Sliver Tuxedo Jacket - $495
Glitter & Sequined Foldover Clutch - $99 $79
Miu Miu Criss Cross Suede Strappy Sandal - $476 $428.40
Wendy Mink Cocktail Ring - $198

While Tangerine Tango is the color of the year, adding a rainforest print to your wardrobe will make a statement. Go bold by rocking these two pieces together.

My daytime look consists of flats and comfortable pants. Instead of having such a casual outfit look so blah, I up the flyness factor by making sure they consist of cool prints. In this layout, the printed pants and flats work because of the pink and black in both pieces. Don't be afraid to mix and match prints and create a look uniquely yours. Also, it's a great lounging around weekend look. Top it off with an eye-catching canvas tote and an updated friendship bracelet.

I was in Saks on Sunday and almost lost my mind. I came across these sexy sandals by designer Isa Tapia. I have never heard of her, but I'm loving the sandals she designed. While not all of the styles are as intricate as these, you'll find a pair to fit a casual look as well. I didn't get them since they're not in my budget, but if I were to splurge on these I'd wear them day and night.
FYI: To really bring out the colors in the shoes, try colorblocking. This blue dress is a great option for a night out. You can find it here.

This look combines all the elements needed to look polished in your spring wardrobe: a shruken white blazer, color block sandals and tangerine clutch. This look can go from work to afterwork drinks with the girls easily.
On a sidenote, I've been exceptionally busy with my classes this semester. I will post my personal style really soon. Please check out "My Closet" here. Thanks for all the support.

I wouldn't clasify myself as a jeans girl. Occassionally, when I'm running errands, I'll throw on a pair of boyfriend jeans with flats. I've been doing some revamping in my closet and came across these pink pumps. While heading out to lunch on Saturday, I wanted a casual, but fly look. I toned down the rest of the outfit and let the pink shoes stand out.

I love when I find a shoe that I absolutely love, but when I check out the price tag I'm utterly disappointed. I came across these Valentino flats and the price just wasn't right for this fashionista on a budget.
So you know I'm always on the hunt to find a version that's just as fly but you'll still have enough to get your retail therapy on. These Bad Alice flats are the perfect brand to give a similar look. These would look great with skinnies or a dress. On a low-key night on the town, I'd rock these as well.

My number one tip when rocking a little black dress is: always let the shoes shine. These leopard and red platform shoes are on my wishlist (shoe whores unite). This look is date or girls night out ready. Any thoughts?
