The majority of my blogging is done at home. I like to find a comfortable space and blast music while I let my creative juices flow. I gave my apartment a bit of a makeover by rearranging a few pieces and adding new ones (changing a lamp from monochromatic to color block by changing the lamp shade). I'm still interested in making a few more changes and came across this pink room. This would be the perfect space to entertain girlfriends (talk shit about men), blog and do some heavy online shopping.

I'll admit I don't cook as often as I should. Sometime running around and I'm near a food spot that I enjoy I'll just pick something up and call it a day. I've been pretty bored lately with my food choices. I made a promise that I would start whipping up something new up in the kitchen. I love Indian food so this cookbook will come in handy. I'll have a few friends over to judge my creations. Plus a few fun essentials like the Bon Appetit ribbon and slang language cups make great conversation pieces.

Sometime I have those weekends when I do absolutely nothing and so excited about it. Watching Sex and the City DVD's and eating ridiculous amounts of candy. I want to add a few additions to my apartment and came across these pieces online. I'm really loving the disco-ball esque lamp.

{A warm welcome for my guests with this Keep Calm and Carry On Cushion Floor Mat}
I'm in the process of looking for a new place. As exciting and nerve wracking as it can be, I'm already looking into pieces that I want to incorporate to make my home sweet home a bit funkier. When hosting get togethers, I want to step up my cooking game. Rick Bayless, one of my favorites chefs, cookbook should be just the trick. I love that this cookbook comes with drink recipes too!

{Who doesn't love a drinking game. Tic Tac shot glasses}
{Love the vintage feel of this wall sconce}

Lately, I've been feeling particularly blah about my decor. While it fits the season with burgundy and browns, I'm a bit over it. With all the cold and dreary days, I'd like to come home to something a bit more pretty. I thought why wait til the weather breaks to do some "spring" revamping. I came across a few photos that gave me some inspiration.

The new year is a great way to not only make resolutions (hopefully) you'll keep them. Also, renewing your home decor. Since your living room is where you mostly entertain, a few pieces or a complete makerover can instantly transform your home. My fave pieces are the Cappellini peacock chair and the 5 Cityscape Prints. While some of these pieces are a bit pricy, it's a great investment you'll have for years to come.

Are your ready for the holidays? It's soon approaching. It's barely Thanksgiving and all I've seen are Christmas decorations in stores. I haven't made my apartment festive as of yet, but I've seen so many additions that would illuminate and bring such great scents to the place. Not to mention, some of these will make great gift ideas. The holidays are the best time to make your place very warm and inviting when you host your dinner parties or just lounging around watching The Jersey Shore.
