I'm kicking the holiday weekend off a bit early as today is my day off. Can you believe its already September!? To end the summer off with a bang why not incorporate some bright colors and make a statement?

Caribbean Girls Rock

<span style="font-size: small;">The summer is the perfect time to implement pops of color into your wardrobe.  Wearing all white adds such a fresh and clean element.  Being that I've of Caribbean decent, it's almost genetic to want to wear tons of bright colors (aren't these sandals gorgeous).  I collaborated with Customized Girl to create this t-shirt to celebrate our heritage.

Happy Monday!

Today's outfit of the day was inspired by statement tees.  I own at least 30 with different statements depending upon my mood.  Judging by this editorial you can probably guess what I'm thinking about.  Well, it's 5 o'clock somewhere.  Haha... in any case, I thought it was really cute and chic.  I added a bit of glam with this leopard pencil skirt, Moschino clutch and ankle strap sandals.  I toned down the glam factor by adding a denim moto jacket.  Pretty cute, no?  What do you think of this look?

FYI- Speaking of statement tees, I launched a collaboration with Customized Girl on a few statement tee designs.  Please check it out here and let me know what you think.  Thank you and you're welcome ;)

<span style="font-size: small;">

Are you gearing up for the upcoming holiday weekend?  I pretty much have my weekend set with a festival and a few parties.  You can't have a 3 day weekend without a party or 2.  Here's some inspiration on what to wear.  In my opinion, keeping it comforable and chic with standout details works.

I'm a sucker for an all white outfit.  Add sexy gold accents for a glamafied look. I could see Jennifer Lopez rocking this look.

Mix and Match

Occasionally, I enjoy playing around with silhouettes and patterns in one outfit.  The loepard shoe and chevron striped bag somehow come together to show the outfits originality without looking like a H.A.M.  Monday's are usually slumpy, but you won't look it in this outfit.  With todays temps in the 60s, a cream colored pant fit perfectly in this combo.  Would you rock this look?

Deets on Oufit:

Military Boiled Wool Coat Navy - $189 $149.99

Curvy Twill Wide Leg Trousers - $98

Diane von Furstenberg Lace-Inset Silk Blouse - $345

SM Women's Luccy Pump - Leopard - $69.95

Prorsum Christie Shoulder Bag - $1,295

Unconventional Leopard

My number one tip when rocking a little black dress is: always let the shoes shine.  These leopard and red platform shoes are on my wishlist (shoe whores unite).  This look is date or girls night out ready.  Any thoughts?

Fall Prep

I'm surprised at how chilly the temps are today.  Last week, I wore a sundress and wedges.  Now I have to dig out the sweater capelet and riding boots.  A lot of companies have a dress down Friday rule.  This look (inspired by J. Crew) would be perfect for any Friday.  The preppy look is classic.  By adding the yellow cardigan and red satchel, it gives the outfit an unexpected twist.

In Vivid Color

Color blocking is a trend that will continue to make its way into the fall.  While looking for pieces to put together, I wanted something that would transition into fall, but still have lots of color.  I like how the Topshop monochromatic dress and cobalt blue Asos clutch compliment each other.  The best part of this outfit is everything is under $200.

Will you still be color blocking for fall?
